Anytime I\’ve lived in the basement I paid rent in either money or doing things like rewireing the house for copper and fiber networking. Most people think wireless is fine, but if you live in an area highly saturated with wifi, being wired is even more effective.
Leave it. It’s the year 2020; people still using an old monitor with 720 P resolution need to get off their butt and buy a flatscreen.

The “flatscreen” on my desktop is still 1280×1024, and for my actual work that’s good enough. In fact, I do my best work in 80×25 characters even in this futuristically advanced year of 2020.
The terms 1080p and 720p make sense in the context of video. Not nearly as much in the context of display resolutions. There’s a difference, and that too still holds in 2020.
