You’d think so if you didn’t know Tarin very well. Or rogues in general, nevermind what the standard issue D&D dungeon crawling group needs. I think this is a bit of a design problem in D&D. The character that makes a good rogue does not make for a good team player. Which Tarin is not: We have already seen her looting corpses while the fighting is still going on.

Oh noes, whatβs next?! Tarin has impressive composure. π

He should have got one level of thief and might have seen the trap then.

He should have had eyes, then he could see the trap…
Llywenna
Or a level of Ranger so he could find traps made of \’natural\’ things π

Yikes. (See avatar.)

What a considerable trap, leaving the heads uncovered.

I agree, I can’t image a spider wanting whining with its dining.

Standard practice when spider wants some “fun” with their captives, eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgpcubu-YE8
Brainship
At this point, I don’t get why this guy still doesn’t have a face.
Lee M
Because when he was stripped of his Templar status, it was a loss of face.

You’d think Tarin would be the one taking point, disarming traps and such since she is the rogue in the group and all.

At this point, is it beyond reasonable to hope that the spiders simply have a bondage fetish?

This is why the sneak goes first not the tank.

Maybe some torches or flash lights might have helped. You would think they slept though the DUNGEONEERING lessons.

This seems to me an outstanding example of how NOT to enter a hostile cavern. π
