So far it seems to have DR vs piercing plus good reflex saves and we haven\’t even seen it\’s web attack yet
it\’s probably fireproof too, poor Dana, maybe use your other elemental spell and try flushing it \’down the waterspout\’ ?
Like I had to do with the huge one in the shower this morning…they\’re weak against water 😉
Cyprien should consider a change of class to swordmage, or to pick up a multiclass benefit via Blade Initiate … the swordmage’s preferred combat style is to kite … mark an enemy once to either lower their damage output against allies or create retaliatory strikes if that enemy attacks allies, then act as a decoy by running around the battlefield and having that enemy chase … if you’re as fast or faster than the enemy you mark, turns the combat into a violent version of Benny Hill, with your allies quickly turning that enemy into a pin cushion … honestly, swordmage has gotta be the most annoying class in D&D, but it’s remarkably effective … only problem, swordmage is an INT based class, so that might cause some troubles … https://dnd4.fandom.com/wiki/Swordmage + https://dnd4.fandom.com/wiki/Blade_Initiate
Slowly but surely Cyprien turns into a badass tank. I might have been wrong about him not being made for the job. The boy has to have some innate talent for it (A born M perhaps?) if he can keep aggro without taunts or attacks of his own. Now he needs to remember about those dodge bonuses for being small target and he will be OK.
Only thing, he’s not tanking, he’s kiting … taunt and outrun (with the enemy chasing you) is perhaps even more effective than standing there and taking one for the team.
Yup. But as long since he keeps the monster off of the rest of his group it should count. And yes I agree its a better move than just trying to shieldblock the attacks which also supports my statement that Cyprien is talented and learning the ropes (Yaaay).
Cause you’re the stupid POS that got everyone into this mess in the first place. Hell, you worthless POS, you deserve to be the one that dies on this SimpQuest. With no respawn. Thus, sparing everyone of your abject idiocy ongoing.

Hmm, I don’t know…. Tanks usually have more hit points and the actual ability to do damage….
i’m thinking “sacrificial goat”, here.
Animeswords
I was thinking more of “Meat Shield” or “Meat Target”
AvangionQ
I was thinking more of kiting
Taunt, focus attacks on you, then outrun
Just Here

Not afraid of having your post flagged as Spam ? 😉
Odins_Missing_Eye
You should be tanking the GM for the opportunity.

I groaned here. Did anyone else groan here? I feel there should be more groaning here. It was at least groan worthy.
Odins_Missing_Eye
I groaned myself. But I posted it anyway!!

Because you\’re the only one who\’s not attacking that spider, so you\’re a prey instead of a threat.

I really like the presentation of the skills here.

I think its because he is not standing still and attacking. When you run you become bait.
